Dark Eye Shadow

When going for a dark or smokey look, apply the eye makeup on a bare face.  So that if any mistakes are made you can wipe off the excess, and continue to apply concealer and foundation without any stains or smudges.  Dont Forget to set your concealer and foundation with a sheer white powder to avoid creases under the eyes.  Smokey eyes should allways be done with a dark grey rather than black.  Use a black pencil to line the eyes and you will see a dramatic difference.

Light Colors

Light shimmery colors or matte are great and will always be used, as you can see in this pic of Kate it seems that she is not wearing any makeup but it is there, and it makes a very rich look, warm browns and bronzers are great, sometimes I do the cheeks and eyes with a warm shade of bronzer, line the eyes with black, mascara (always), a light pink liquid lipstick, and a gloss in the center of lips for a great shine and feel, and you are ready to go, try it, you will love it!!!

Red Lip Stick

Red is a very extreme color and should be treated as so, when I do have a photo shoot where that is a must I do it but on reguglar basis I never use it, personally I like the makeup to be seen as a whole not as a separate piece unless we are talking about an less young face where I have to direct the attention to one part of the face, and that is what red lips do, they make you be "lips" only, and as I always say "your makeup has to be something that when somebody looks at you they see the entire face and is unable to say where your makeup starts and wher it ends", when that happens you have achieved a "feel" and not only a "look"!
